Urban Strings

Urban Strings is a music agency and collective with musicians in both the Western Cape and Gauteng. Its line-up includes violinists, violists, cellists, double bassists, harpists, pianists, guitarists and singers, many of them electro-acoustic, which lets the agency scale from a single player for an intimate ceremony to a layered ensemble for a reception.

The repertoire stretches from cinematic, period-drama string arrangements to jazz, soulful ballads and Afrobeat-influenced sets, and the team builds a programme around the couple's taste and venue. Couples can request artist biographies, repertoire lists, technical riders and sound samples before booking. Quotes are tailored to each event.
