Third Time Lucky

Third Time Lucky is a Newlands-based band built around frontman Mark Penwarden and vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Katy Hallauer, with Sebastian Guile on drums and founding bassist Ryan Matthews handling bookings. The full four-piece is the flagship, but the band also offers a duo, a compact pop set, a louder power trio and Katy as a solo act singing opera and jazz standards for ceremonies.

Couples send a song wishlist and the setlist is built around it, mixing classics with current favourites. The band's gig list includes Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Somerset West and Tulbagh, so Winelands venues are familiar ground. Rates are quoted on enquiry; a press kit is available on the website.
