Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West

The Lord Charles is a long-established Somerset West hotel on the corner of Main Road and Broadway Boulevard, relaunched in April 2025 as South Africa's first Tribute Portfolio hotel under Marriott Bonvoy. It has 198 rooms and suites with private outdoor space, two swimming pools and large gardens, with Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl within easy reach and the airport about 25 minutes away.

Dining is at La Vigna on the pool patio, the Garden Terrace for breakfast and the St Andrews pub. Eleven meeting and function rooms give it one of the largest event capacities in the Winelands, up to 500 guests across its spaces, with in-house event planners for weddings and celebrations.
