Morgansvlei Country Estate

Morgansvlei combines Cape Dutch buildings, vineyards and a lake in the Tulbagh valley. The estate's chapel dates from the early 1700s and takes around 100 guests, while the reception hall, with its large dance floor, fireplaces, air conditioning, dimmable and fairy lighting and folding doors onto a veranda, holds up to 180. Lawns beside the lake are used for ceremonies and pre-drinks when the weather allows.

Twenty-seven double rooms on the property mean most of a wedding party can stay over, and there is a bridal suite, groom's room and honeymoon suite. The estate supplies a list of suggested caterers rather than cooking in house. Smaller rooms are available for private celebrations and business functions. Pricing is not published.
