Laborie Estate

Laborie is in the southern part of Paarl town, with its 1750 manor house, avenue and vineyards running up towards Paarl Rock. A fire in December 2025 destroyed Giovanni's restaurant and the eight Werf guest rooms; the manor house and the rest of the estate were saved, the Werf rooms have been rebuilt and reopened, and the estate is taking wedding bookings for 2027 and 2028.

Weddings use the restored Champagne Cellar, which takes up to 120 guests, with ceremonies on the Werf lawn, in the vineyard garden or in the estate gardens, and a private dining room for small gatherings. An in-house events manager and team run the day. Guests stay in the Werf rooms, the vineyard suites or the private villa, and the estate also has a Healing Earth spa, wine tasting in the manor house and picnics on the lawn. The Stoep bistro closes at the start of November 2026, with the Suzanne café-bar reopening in its place. Rates are on request; a 2027/28 wedding brochure is available from the estate.
