La Roche is a working farm and boutique winery in the Robertsvlei valley, about five kilometres from Franschhoek village. Its two venues are the Sanctuary, a small building with arched windows set on an island in a lake and open to all faiths, and the Festival Hall, a 506 square metre reception space with Roman-inspired finishes and the Bacchus Lounge. The Sanctuary is listed for ceremonies of up to 119 and seated receptions of 59; the Festival Hall takes larger receptions, and the estate matches the space to guest numbers.
Catering can be in-house or by a private caterer, and the estate is hired for exclusive use. Accommodation is self-catering: the six-bedroom Manor House for 12, a family suite for six and three one-bedroom suites, roughly 24 beds in all. David's Bistro serves breakfast and lunch, and picnics and tastings run on the farm. Wedding enquiries are handled through Franschhoek Venues. Prices are by quote.
