A Thing of Beauty is a Cape Town hair and makeup studio built around Amelia, who has more than fifteen years in the industry, with a background in beauty retail at MAC Cosmetics and backstage work at Africa Fashion International shows. The bridal service runs from a pre-wedding trial, included in the package, through to the morning itself, and covers bridesmaids, mothers and the rest of the party.
The studio also does events, matric dances and film, commercial and editorial shoots, and offers one-on-one makeup lessons and group workshops. Bridal styling starts at R1 100 and other services at R900, with travel quoted separately; a 50% deposit holds the date.
